Nobody cares about efforts, only result, tbh.
This was a line my former boss at always said and demanded everyone to abide it. He was only interested in seeing results, he never actually cared what you had to do to get things done, all he wanted to know, was it done?
Then it seemed quite unfair, considering how I usually put in a lot of work only to get a scathing reply from him.
However I learnt fast, it was not the amount of work put in to it, it was the result that mattered at the end of the day. That realization changed the way I worked on things and changed my strategy and tactics in approaching my work. So how do you work? The smart way or the hard way?
